Mathieu Yuill is a Toronto Raptors fan since before Vince Carter put them on the radar. If you’re really interested in finding out more about him, Mathieu maintains a personal Web site.
He became a Matt Bonner fan during Bonner’s first year with the Raptors during preseason. A television commentator told the story of how Bonner played in Europe and even after the team he was with went bankrupt and stopped paying the players, he continued to play and travel with the team.

Also, as the father of two young children I realize I only have so many years that I can be the biggest influence in their lives. After they reach a certain age they’ll want to be like their favourite musician, ball player, etc. With so many poor role models in professional sports, I am happy to champion someone who I think has their priorities straight, even after millions of dollars came to him.
